PUPPIES

The puppies from Demi and Grace's litter are all now in their new homes.
We expect our next litter mid-2012
Mikozi Rhodesian Ridgebacks only breed occasionally, and mainly when we wish to add to our kennel.
We consider bringing more puppies into this world a huge responsibility, especially given we stand by our puppies for their life and are available to assist puppy owners at any time.
Being involved in Rescue, we take the responsibility for our puppies, and the breed generally, very seriously. Further to this, all pet puppies are sold desexed.
A large amount of planning, consideration and time goes into every litter. We choose our sires to compliment and improve our girls and their bloodlines - sires are not chosen on the basis of their locality or stud price. To this end, we have previously used Champion sires from interstate, and also used artificial insemination from past Champions.
Mikozi RR's breed in accordance with the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of SA Inc Code of Ethics and is a member of their Breed Referral service. We are also members of the South Australian Canine Association and comply with their rules and regulations.
Our puppies are born in the bedroom, and at 2-3 weeks are moved into the main inside area of the house. This enables the baby puppies to be exposed to every day sights and sounds - an early and important stage of their socialisation.
Our puppies are heavily socialised, being played specifically designed "socialisation" sound CD's, meeting other breeds of dogs, and many people. We believe this gives them a very important basis for their ongoing socialisation.
All dogs used in our breeding programme have been hip (and where possible, elbow) scored and fall below current breed averages. We check all puppies carefully for dermoid sinus.
I stand behind all puppies bred by Mikozi and love to keep in touch with puppy owners and to get updates on their pup's progress.
Your Mikozi Puppy will have been:
* Vaccinated
* De-sexed (Pets)
* Vet checked
* Checked for dermoid sinus
* Microchipped
* Wormed
* Registered with Dogs SA (Limited Register)
You will also receive:

and ongoing care and socialisation
~ Full details regarding your pup's sire and dam, including copy of their hip/elbow scores and
photographs
~ A free copy of Dr Ian Dunbar's book "After you Get your Puppy"
~ A toy and blanket for your pup to go home with
~ A small supply of food
